2) Fake or Judgmental People. I could write a book on this. These people assume they know a situation after hearing only a piece of the information then start with the sweeping judgments. I saw this a lot with my daughter a few months back when she was going through her health concerns. Everyone from friends to family to people who I've never met had their own opinion based on the partial information they knew. Needless to say I lost some friends (who were never really friends) and lost all respect for those who made the assumptions without the information.
3) Dropped Calls on my Cell Phone. Really? It is 2010! There is no reason that my call should be dropped on my while I am driving down or up the cut in the hill on I-75. That isn't exactly the boonies so why do I lose signal every time I drive it? It is very frustrating!
4) Rubberneckers. I pray I am never in a car accident. Not only do I have to deal with possible injuries or death to me or the people in my car, the car insurance and health insurance problems, and the possible news headline, but now I would also have to be thoroughly examined by every passing motorist who themselves are creating even more of a traffic jam so they can fully inspect my traumatic event for their viewing curiousity and gossip material. I have nearly rear ended countless numbers of cars because they slam on their breaks to see an accident or police situation going on on the other side of the interstate. Just keep driving people!!!
5) 5 day work weeks. They are SOOO overrated. A 4 day work week would make so much more sense for many reasons. Employees would happier for the longer weekends and employers would have longer days for their employees to get more done. And they could still maintain a 5 day work week by alternating days off, such as 1/3 off on Monday, 1/3 off on Wednesday, and 1/3 off on Friday.
6) Political Campaigning. I will say this...campaign managers are good at what they do. They know how to twist any story to make it sound either better then sliced bread or the scariest possible outcome imaginable, just using a little patriotic music, stop animation, and deep voice overs. If you really want to find out the TRUTH on a candidate you have to dig through the piles of misinformation and propaganda. Let me make it simple for this voting season...the candidate in question will say anything to get you to vote. Once they are in office their only job will be to make it LOOK like they are keeping their promises while really not doing anything.
7) Stress. It sucks. Stress caused me to go into early labor. Stress gave me an ulcer that still reminds me every so often that it is there. Stress has caused more than one fight and emotional breakdown. I love how doctors always tell you to reduce your stress in your life. Oh how I wish!
8) Bullies (thanks Casey for the thought). I don't know which situation would be worse for me...to find out my child is being bullied at school or to find out my child is the one doing the bullying at school. I am not being sarcastic when I say that being a kid today is not easy...there are a lot of pressures kids put on each other and social acceptance being priority one for many kids the issue becomes number one in their lives. There is no reason that kids should have to be put in either situation. Kids need to be taught better coping mechanisms...how to brush things off and how to accept not getting everything they want. I don't think the reasons for bullying have changed since I was a kid, but the outcomes sure have!! I don't remember school shootings and suicides resulting from bullying. Maybe Jesus will return before my kids reach that age and we won't have to deal with it...
9) Coupons with Restrictions. They are so frustrating! You know the ones...the restaurant coupon that is only able to be used on certain days or certain times, and never with certain menu items. Or the detergent coupon that is only good for a certain size, even though the one pictured is the one I grab, which ends up being not valid. Then there is the save .50 (yay this doubles!) on 2 (dangit!). Barely a sale when I have to buy 2 to get a 1.00 off. I could go on and on about coupons but I digresss...
10) Chain Emails. Really, if you send me a chain email and there is a snopes article proving your email is false, you are going to hear it from me! I cannot STAND when false emails spewing fear and hatred are spread around by people who don't bother checking their facts before sending it to everyone they know. My favorites recently are the National Day of Prayer chain mail, the current administration is going to take away the second amendment, and the anti health care bill propaganda disguised as not-so-subtle
Great post!! Love the new background <3
