After an extensive hiatus from real life, I have decided to try to get myself refocused on some of the positive things I did in 2011. One of those was, well, blogging.
So first, to recap the last quarter of 2011...
- My birthday in October was virtually forgotten by all, which wasn't as big a disappointment as I thought it would be.
- In the fall we did the normal pumpkin patch/HallZOOeen/Fear Fest visits. We bought season passes for Kings Island for next year, so bring on the roller coasters!!
- We went to homecoming at my college alma mater and had a great time reconnecting with friends. I love Cave Run Lake and we spent some time out there so I was happy!
- We introduced a new member of the family...Chicken Patty. This little black bird wandered into our yard and refused to leave. Trevor built it a home and got it all comfortable, then we learned that Patty is really a Pat. Oh well, it's a nice chicken pen anyway.
- The holidays were the holidays...I just couldn't get into them this year. I have no idea why. It was fun to see the kids excited but I could not join them in the excitement. I just watched and laughed.
- We did the traditional Festival of Lights visit and the kids talked to Santa. Olivia is only bribed to go near Santa with candy.
- Brandon continues to do well in karate and is now up to a white with blue stripe belt. Karate is a normal part of his life now and when I talk about him stopping it since it's been a year he says absolutely NOT!
- Olivia fell and cut her head at day care requiring 4 stitches on her forehead. She is of course milking it for all its worth.
- After attending a birthday party at a gymnastics studio, Olivia expressed a desire to continue. My mamma stepped in and paid for Olivia to try out gymnastics weekly until the end of February...go mom!
- I am back on Weight Watchers and plan to stick it out. Looking at my weight the last time I went to the doctor had me crying all the way home, so I think I have the motivation this time.
- After taking a small hiatus from my Pure Romance business (not really I just didn't try to schedule parties for a while) I am trying to get myself back on track.
My life still isn't that interesting, but it is fun to highlight it from time to time. I cannot promise every day but I will as much as possible!
Until next time!
Glad that you're back!!
