Nowadays we are lazier. Instead of handwriting a letter or even bothering to go to the post office, the world of technology has allowed us to use social media to guilt us into sending messages to each other.
I have no problem with expressing an opinion, whether it be political, social, or emotional, just don't EXPECT me to share that opinion. Here are just a few that I have seen lately...
Yes, I know people who have been affected by cancer, but posting a ribbon on my facebook page isn't going to do anything except ask for sympathy.
So if I don't share your little link than I don't love my kids?! Is that what this website is implying? Anyone who visits my facebook page and sees a picture on it KNOWS how much I love my kids. All this did was ensure I will never visit that website.
Yes, I am an aunty. Yes, I love it (most of the time). Does everyone on my friends list really care? Nope.
This one uses a cute emotional looking picture to get the poor person to share it. Yes, the picture is cute, however the message is completely WRONG! Dogs are cute and wonderful companions, but I am pretty sure I know of a much better list of people who fit that description than just a dog.
Really? I mean, really? Someone needing a lot of petty reassurance probably created this in order to guilt their kids.
Ah, political statements. Like in a work place, there are a few things that I avoid like the plague on my facebook page, one of those being political opinions. This is funny because the people who post this kind of thing are the same people posting how ashamed they are of our president, who was voted in legally by the current government system. Ah, irony.
Military references are always good for an emotional response. If you don't share it then you don't support the troops, right?
For the record, I am proud to be an American, I love my kids, my mom, my nieces and nephews, and I support our troops. You just won't see me shoving it in your face(book).
Oh, by they way, if you share this with 10 of your friends, you will suddenly become wealthy 12 hours later. If you don't share this, well....watch The Ring. ;)
