High School Musical

I was going through my DVR last night and found that I still had High School Musical 1, 2 and 3 still saved.  I hadn't seen the third movie in a long time so I decided to watch it for a while.  I am a sucker for musicals and like watching dancing so HSM is a guilty pleasure of mine.

The third movie is kind of cute.  It has this theme of growing up and there is one song that I actually rewound and watched twice.  Troy and Chad sing the song "the boys are back" in this junkyard where they pretend they are little kids in various hero roles.  At one point they crawl under a car and when they emerge their 8 year old selves come out and dance...adorable kids.

It got me remembering my own senior year and how exciting of a time it was...the future was wide open with possibilities, no debt or responsibilities...good times.

Of course when I remember those times the next thought is, do I miss those times?  Well sure...I was 60 pounds lighter then and had 0.00 in debt.  But would I go back if I could?  I was a totally different person back then...the older I get the more I believe the saying "youth is wasted on the young" is true. I wouldn't mind going back for a few days for fun, but I would only do it if I knew that it wouldn't change my current life.  I wouldn't mind going to prom again or even graduation...I think I would enjoy them and appreciate them more for what they are this time around.  But to stay?  No thanks!

Now I have the songs from the movie stuck in my head...will probably be singing it all day!  My only problem with musicals...I can't stop singing them!!!
