Conversations With My Son

Early this morning my son came into my room and climbed up in bed with me.  This is a rare treat for me because since my daughter was born, my son usually goes over to his daddy's side to cuddle. I asked him if the storm woke him, and he said "yes, and a bad dream."  I asked what the bad dream was about and he told me about a balloon with eyes and a mouth that was talking to him.  He didn't remember what it said but the balloon scared him.

This is just the most recent of many little random thought from my son.  He is such a character, and he speaks with such confidence that everything he says he states as fact.  For example, on Friday night the family was at daddy's work eating dinner and Brandon asked, "daddy, who is your girlfriend?" {he was looking at a picture of "the Office" cast while he asked this}.  I said, "Yeah, Daddy, who IS your girlfriend?"

He flustered for a minute, then answered, "mommy is my girlfriend," to which Brandon raised his arms in exasperation and yelled "Daddy!  Mommy is married!"

I love my little guy!
