The Relationship between Olivia and Santa Claus

So my beautiful little girl has come a long way.

When she first encountered Santa this year she was literally trying to climb over me to get away from him.  High pitched wails, fat tears, white knuckled grip on mommy...ah good times!

Slowly she has warmed up to him though.  Last night was the epitome of her Santa experience.  Fortunately my son has never been shy or afraid of Santa.  He jumps on his lap and happily tells him what he wants for Christmas.

Here is Olivia's experience...

First we have the "if I don't turn around I won't see him" mentality...

Then we have the what I call the "GETMEOUTTAHERE" picture....

Then we have the "I've got my eye on you"...

And finally, on her fourth visit to the big man, she finally realized he is not going to hurt her and with very little hesitation....

She even smiled a little!

That's my girl!
